FAQ
The most common questions about addiction and codependency treatment at Reconectar. If you can't find your answer, contact us: a therapist will be happy to help, in complete confidentiality.
No. At Reconectar treatment is outpatient: it takes place in sessions at our centre in Las Palmas, with no need to be admitted. This lets you combine therapy with work, studies and family life, at a much lower cost than residential treatment.
Confidentiality is absolute. You are seen directly by a therapist and nothing you share leaves the consulting room. You can get in touch with complete discretion by phone, email or WhatsApp.
There is no fixed duration: it depends on each person, the type of addiction and their situation. Treatment is personalised and adapts to your pace. In the first session we assess your case and give you a realistic idea.
We combine the Minnesota Model, cognitive therapy and behavioural and motivational techniques, tailored to each patient. We work on the way of thinking to achieve deep, lasting change, not just stopping the substance use.
Yes. We treat both chemical addictions (alcohol, cocaine, cannabis, tobacco, prescription drugs…) and behavioural addictions (gambling, technology, sex, shopping, work, etc.) as well as codependency.
You can contact us for information or guidance about your case or a loved one's with no obligation. You will speak directly with a therapist who will explain how we can help you.
Yes. We offer online sessions by video call with the same closeness and confidentiality as in person, so you can continue treatment wherever you are.
Of course. Addiction affects the whole family. We support relatives and codependent people so they can learn to manage the situation and look after their own wellbeing.
This is very common. You can contact us yourself: we will guide you on how to approach the conversation and how to support that person without falling into codependency. Sometimes the first step is taken by the family.
Addiction is a treatable illness. With the right support, people achieve a life change that lets them leave the substance or behaviour behind and regain their quality of life. Recovery is a process, and it is possible.
We are at Calle Emilio Castelar 4-6, floor 3, office 305 (Edificio Internacional), in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. You can book an appointment or ask for information by phone, WhatsApp, email or through the contact form.
A relapse can be part of the process and does not mean failure. We work on relapse prevention and, if it happens, we treat it as a learning opportunity to strengthen recovery.
